COVID-19 Rules for all Sweetwater Amenities –

After meeting with our legal advisors and researching Governors orders and Travis County COVID-19 guidelines, it has been determined by the Sweetwater Board of Directors that the following COVID-19 rules will go into effect as of 12:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2020, for all Sweetwater amenities including but not limited to the following:

Fitness Center, Sport Court, Pavilions, Playgrounds, and the Overlook Club.

This adheres with Texas Law as well as Travis County Judge Sam Biscoe’s signed County Judge Order 2020-16; Relating to the COVID-19 Community Restrictions.

This states that you, as an individual, are responsible to adhere to the following:

Every person in Travis County must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when inside a commercial entity or other building open to the public.

In an outdoor public space whenever it is not feasible to maintain six (6) feet of social distancing from persons outside one’s household, a face covering must also be worn.

We hope this is clear and alleviates any concerns or confusion. The alternative to not following these COVID-19 Orders would be to close all the facilities.

Thanks for keeping Sweetwater Safe!

City of Austin/Travis County Orders,

March 2021

Austin Public Health (APH) has published a color-coded chart to help residents of Austin-Travis County understand the stages of risk and provide recommendations on what people should do to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

APH is currently exploring the most effective indicators to help determine the level of risk in the local community. Provisional triggers are being modeled based on the number of hospitalizations because of their general correlation with numbers of cases, use of ventilators, deaths, and availability of effective treatment and vaccination.

Stage 3: Includes the recommendations for Stage 2 and also urges individuals to avoid all gatherings with social groups greater than 10. High-risk individuals should also avoid non-essential travel. Businesses are recommended to operate up to 50-75% capacity.

We have included the staging chart so you can see the recommendations for each stage.   As we wish to keep everyone safe and minimize exposures as much as possible, please be advised of these recommendations and follow them for your own safety as well as the safety of others.
